How we can help

Six reasons aquarists write to FishioHub

Pick the one closest to your situation below — it helps us route your message and reply faster.

ID

Species & compatibility ID

Describe an unfamiliar fish, shrimp, snail, or plant and your tank parameters. We’ll help identify it and tell you if it’s safe with your current stock.

H2O

Water quality troubleshooting

Cloudy water, an ammonia spike, a sudden die-off — share your readings and recent changes and we’ll help trace the cause.

SETUP

Tank setup & stocking plans

Planning a new aquascape or moving livestock into a bigger tank? Tell us your tank size, filtration, and goals before you buy anything.

FIX

Report an error

Found a care guide with an outdated parameter, a wrong common name, or a broken link? Tell us the page and what’s wrong — we correct guides quickly.

Frequently asked questions

How long does it take to hear back?

Most messages get a reply within 24 to 48 hours. If your question needs research — like a specific water chemistry issue — it may take a little longer because we want to give you a correct answer, not just a fast one.

Can I send a photo of my fish or tank?

Yes. The form above is text-only, but once you submit it, reply to our confirmation email and attach photos there. A clear photo of the fish, plus your latest water parameters, helps us give a much more accurate answer.

Do you accept guest posts or collaboration pitches?

We do, from aquarists and breeders with real hands-on experience. Choose “Guest Post / Collaboration” in the form and include a sample of your writing or a description of your fishkeeping background.

I think a care guide has incorrect information. What should I do?

Tell us, please. Select “Report an Error,” include the page URL, and describe what looks wrong. We check every report against current sources and correct confirmed mistakes.

Are you open to brand partnerships or product reviews?

Yes, on a case-by-case basis. We only review and recommend products we’d genuinely use in our own tanks, so include details about the product and what makes it relevant to freshwater aquarium keepers.

Do you offer paid, one-on-one tank consulting?

Not at this time. Every general question submitted through this page is answered for free, as part of why FishioHub exists.

Who actually writes the answers I get?

Anil Satak, FishioHub’s founder, holds a Master’s degree in Zoology and reads every message personally. You can read his full background on the About Anil Satak page.
